Susquehanna Bank is pleased to announce that Robert Ernst has been named Regional President for Washington County, MD, and Franklin County, PA.
In his new role, he will be responsible for the employee teams that provide consumer and business banking services throughout the two counties, where Susquehanna Bank operates 22 branches.
A lifelong resident of the Hagerstown area, he has worked in banking for 35 years, including 26 with Susquehanna. Ernst served most recently as Executive Vice President and Senior Credit Officer in the bank’s Maryland Division.

Ernst is a board member of the Mason-Dixon Council of the Boy Scouts of America and previously served as Chairman of Hagerstown/Washington County Economic Development Commission, President of the Hagerstown Rotary Club, Campaign Chairman for the Washington County United Way, Chairman of Washington County Planning Commission and as a board member of Washington County Chamber of Commerce. He completed the Leadership Washington County program and also previously served as a board member for the organization.
Ernst holds a bachelor’s degree from Frostburg State College and is a graduate of the BAI Graduate School of Executive Bank Management.
