Susquehanna Bank recently contributed $2,000 to the Montessori Academy of Chambersburg under the PA State Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program. The donation will help provide tuition assistance for students attending the Pre-K program.
“At Susquehanna Bank, one of the priorities for our corporate giving program is support for youth and education,” said Joseph Zmitrovich, Commercial Executive, Susquehanna Bank. “The EITC Program gives us an opportunity to support valuable educational opportunities offered to students at the Montessori Academy of Chambersburg.”
As a nonprofit, private school for early childhood through middle school age groups, Montessori Academy of Chambersburg is committed to offering a progressive world of education, culture and diversity to each student; exploring his individuality and achieving his academic excellence.
Created by the PA State Department of Community and Economic Development, the EITC program provides tax credits for businesses that make qualified contributions to organizations that provide educational improvement programs, scholarship opportunities and/or pre-kindergarten education. The tax credits allow for companies to reinvest those dollars directly back to local communities. Most importantly, the program helps to improve Pennsylvania’s education system for students and families.
