Susquehanna Bank’s Online Banking Not Affected by Heartbleed Bug :
Susquehanna Bank’s online banking service uses a different encryption technology than the one that was affected by the Heartbleed bug, and therefore is not subject to this vulnerability.
However, if you used the same password for online banking and for different online sites that may have been subject to the Heartbleed vulnerability, we recommend that you change your Susquehanna online banking password.
We also recommend that you follow up with other online sites where you used passwords to determine whether they were subject to the Heartbleed bug, when they’ve applied the appropriate patches to fix the vulnerability, and when you should change your password.
As always, Susquehanna recommends regularly changing your online banking password, using different passwords for each online site, and keeping your computer and mobile devices updated with the latest anti-virus and anti-malware software. Protecting the security of your financial information is a top priority for us, and we appreciate your help in taking the appropriate steps to safeguard your own online access.
