DirectConnect and WebConnect

Susquehanna offers two types of connections for Intuit’s Quicken® and QuickBooks® products:


DirectConnect and WebConnect

What is the difference?

  • DirectConnect:  Is two-way connectivity between the customers’ Quicken or QuickBooks and the bank. The service provides the ability to automatically download account transactions, upload bill payments and schedule transfers (one time or future dated). Note: Bill Payment service must be enabled via Internet Banker to utilize the banks’ bill payment service. No separate login to Internet Banker required after you save your Internet Banker ID and Password in your Quicken or QuickBooks software. Note: If you subsequently change your Internet Banker Password, you would need to also change it in your Quicken or QuickBooks software. Business customers will be charged $15 per month for this service.


  • WebConnect:  WebConnect allows customers to download posted transactions into their software (one-way) from the bank. WebConnect Express, available with Quicken, allows automatic download of account transactions with no separate login after you save your Internet Banker ID and Password in your software.
How do I get started?

  • New Quicken or QuickBooks Customer - complete set up in your Quicken or QuickBooks software from the Banking/Online Banking menu options.


  • Current Quicken or QuickBooks Customer – must deactivate current WebConnect service and reactivate your accounts in the software for DirectConnect.


  • During set up, you will be prompted to enter your Internet Banker ID and Password into the software. You may choose to store it in the Quicken Pin Vault. If not stored in the Pin vault, you will be required to enter your password each time you schedule a bill payment or transfer.


  • Which Bank do I select during setup in Quicken or QuickBooks:

    • In QuickBooks –


    • For DirectConnect service select Susquehanna Bank - Direct


    • For WebConnect service select Susquehanna Bank


    • In Quicken –


    • For both DirectConnect & WebConnect select Susquehanna Bank

    More important facts about DirectConnect:

    • After set up, simply click on “Update Transactions” or “Send/Review Transactions” to pull in any items not yet downloaded.


    • Transfers and bill payments scheduled in Quicken or QuickBooks will appear immediately on Internet Banker as memo posted or scheduled.


    • Recurring transfers and bill payments cannot be established in the software. One time and future dated only.


    • Once submitted, Susquehanna bill payments and transfers cannot be modified or deleted in the software. They can only be modified or deleted from within Internet Banker.
